      Do the speed test before and after the peak time kicks in. Say any time before 4.30pm and between 5 pm and 12.

      I think before peak you will be getting around 7Mb and after anything from 1kbps up.

      You made a bad mistake moving to Connect, just about anything is better.

      I tried a speed test this morning, still well under 1mb. Unfortunatly xbox live does not work may have to go back to them and say thanks but no thanks and hope they let me out of my contract.

      not been able to load the bt test it just keeps timing out.

      That is enough to report a fault to Sky. Tell them you are unable to load the Official BT Speedtester.

      THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP.
      Managed to get the bt test to work.
      Although i could not get my MAC ip to work, i have too many digits??
      I even tried to cut and paste user5 example, but it would not paste the entire number in?
      it was at 23.46 so will try again tomorrow but speed much improved.
      they raised a tickey at sky and a level 2 should have rung today but didnt, maybe they have tweaked something, but will hopefully know tomorrow at peak time!!

      speed tested this morning still looks good, although the bt test came back with an error, and test2 page could not be found.
      will test tonite at peak when it has been especially bad up to now.
      From looking through other threads and have read reports of temporary boosts after complaining so fingers crossed this isnt a temporary boost.

      How long have you been on connect?

      Seems like you're dropping sync.

      - How many telephone sockets do you use?
      - Is the router plugged into the master socket?
      - Are you running any extension cables to the router?
      - Does every telephone socket in use have a microfilter connected as the first thing into the socket?
      - Do you have sky tv plugged into any telephone socket?

      -Hi User 05

      Been on connect since 07 oct
      -Only one tel socket in use
      -Router is in the master socket
      -I have a 3m ethernet (although my test was done on the shorter one that came with router)
      -Socket has a microfilter
      -Sky not plugged into telephone.
