Mac won't remember access sequence

Netgear DG834gt/Airbook Wireless connection

I have just connected a new airbook via WPA and it eventually went through, after some help and a deal of trial and error.

Trouble is, the Airbook doesn't want to seem to remember the internet access settings. (OS 10.5.2).

Each time following power down and re-boot, I have to go through the complete set up sequence, and despite asking the keychain to remember the password - it doesn't, nor the IP etc.

It would appear to be a Mac/Netgear issue, maybe compatibility?

I have read about this elsewhere and if you can understand this, the answer appeared to be, and I quote viz:

'I removed Keychain and placed the Preferences App in the Applications folder(Was in Applications/Tools before) then I added my network again and now it seems to work fine'

I have to admit I don't understand the explanation, has anyone out there had a similar problem and solved it?

All help very much appreciated ...
