sky address showing up in domain emails

Not sure if this a Mac-only problem, but just in case...

I use Sky POP mail via Apple Mail.

I have my main sky email address, and also a couple of domain specific addresses. Today, by accident I noticed when my mail is sending from the domain addresses it also shows up my sky address to the recipient. (ie 2 addresses display).

I'd rather not display my sky address when I send domain email, any fixes?

Thanks in advance!

Scott

This is a "feature" of Sky's SMTP server. The good folks here at Sky user have provided a more flexible SMTP server you can use. See Sky User - Unofficial Help and Support for Sky Broadband and everything Sky! - SkyUser SMTP Server Live

Re: sky address showing up in domain emails

Thanks for that.

Sorry for being backward, I presume since I am already registered on the forum I just use the password and user name I already have?

Or do I need to leave a message on the other page?

Re: sky address showing up in domain emails

Yes, I am backwards. Just went and emailed via the other page like I was supposed to.

Back to the plot…
Is there anyway to stop the 'double email' thing when sending via webmail, looked in settings.

I presume not... ?

yes there is

setup a filter in the mail settings section to have all e-mail sent to you from your @sky.com address to skip the inbox. This stops you receiving a copy of your own e-mails
