Streaming Apple TV with SkyBB

I have skyBB on the max package and was thinking about getting Apple TV. Can anyone tell me how good the wireless router sky provide is for streaming? My aple tv could plug into the router but the PC it will be streaming for is connecting to the router wirelessly.

I don't want to buy apple tv and find out that films won't stream properly!

Cheers guys

I have an AirPort Extreme and it works fine. You shoud be okay wireless if you get any router/access point with 802.11n

Re: Streaming Apple TV with SkyBB

No, it doesn't support 802.11n. Wireless-N networking isn't even a defined standard yet, but there are a lot of equipment manufacturers selling what they call "draft wireless-N" networking devices, and telling people that it's just what they've always wanted and needed.

In all honesty, I'd still say you'd be better off with wired networking. Once your neighbours all get wireless-N equipment, they too will be blasting the life out of the 2.4GHz waveband, and you'll be only slightly better off than you would have been with wireless-G networking.

Re: Streaming Apple TV with SkyBB

Well when you say wired networking. My PC is upstairs, my appletv would be plugged into the router downstairs and the PC would connect wirelessly, would that be sufficient to ensure no streaming problems?

Cheers for all the info guys
