Router Wireless problem

Every time i try to connect to my router via wireless it causes the router to restart and then after connects fine after. I dont understand why this happens but it is getting very annoying because it i have to wait for the router to connect to internet again which takes 2-3mins . This problem seems to only occur with my macbook as it does not effect my ps3, wii, ds or my old laptop(not a mac).

Re: Router Wireless problem

That's strange... have you tried changing the wireless channel, it may help?

Re: Router Wireless problem

Anything in the router logs? Is the Mac setup any differently from the PCs in how it obtains an IP etc? What happens if only the Mac is on the router?

Re: Router Wireless problem

I'm not sure if this would work but give it try.......

1. reset/turn off the DHCP server on the router...
2. turn off and restart the router
3. turn DHCP back on router
4. On your Mac under Network preferences renew the DHCP lease of the Airport connection
