Apple TV sync problems - 802.11b only

I can connect my Mac, DG834GT router and Apple TV only at 802.11b. it is painfully slow, taking days to transfer albums.

When i set the router to only use 802.11g it gets to entering the password but can't get any further. It's definately the right password as works when in "b".

      Any ideas??

      Thanks.

Have you tried mixed mode, if you can get it to connect in that it should go through at G speeds because the Tv has a G card. I suppose the TV's Draft-N card could be a bit buggy (after all it's a draft standard) but it is meant to be fully backwards-compatible with 802.11g and b

Re: Apple TV sync problems - 802.11b only

I have an Apple TV running just fine on 802.11g from my Sky router.

There are a few things i've done to it though, these are:

When I wanted to hook up my PSP I had to change the wifi speed from G Only to 'Auto 108'.

Second when I was setting up the Apple TV it wouldn't connect to the network when I hid the SSID. I figured seeing as I am also using an access list it wasn't a problem to leave it unhidden.

I have also set my own SSID name and key - using WPA-PSK.

      Hope this helps you.
