Provided the name and bank details are different, she should be able to join right away. To be classed as a new customer yourself, you would need to leave for 12 months..

The eagle eyed fraud team will pick it up and either prevent the viewing card from being dispatched or cancel it if they were too late swooping. They also put a note on the account which includes a statement to be read to the customer, if they should call, and an instruction not to enter into any further discussion.

What do you mean about fraud I will close my account and my wife will open a new one. What would happen If I suddenly died or split from my wife or had to work abroad.

Don't blame the messenger. I'm just letting you know how Sky work, though from your reaction I can see why Sky agents are instructed not to enter into further discussion. If you thought you had a legitimate case you would have to plead it in writing.

But none of those are true. I think you have answered your own question.

Re: Leaving Sky Wife to join Sky

So if I cancel my tv subscription how long can my wife wait before she can join sky as a new customer. I am not on a contract with sky I can leave when ever.

Re: Leaving Sky Wife to join Sky

Can I ask why you want to do this? If it is to take advantage of a "new customer deal" the usual time is one month though it would be less where the original subscriber had moved their subscription to a different address.

This usually means that the original offer is no longer available. It is also possible that the original customer may be offered a "come back deal" using the existing equipment which is financially more attractive than the deal which prompted the change.

Re: Leaving Sky Wife to join Sky

I want to move from sky after nearly 11 years I had a lot of problems with them slow broadband ordered a new deal realized it was not that good cancelled it they cancelled sky talk land line with BT Variety pack for 32.50 bb etc 35. So I might move to BT for BB go Freesat. But then the wife wants to join sky as a new customer.
