Another option for Sky customers wanting BT Sport is to watch the BT Sport YouTube channel or the BT Sport Showcase channel on Freeview TV. BT will be showing 12 European matches live & free this season on these platforms, with all the British teams who have qualified being shown at least once. One of the Champions League semi-finals and the final itself will also be shown for free. More information and the fixtures are here - https://broadbandinternetuk.com/broa...d-fixtures.php

Phone Virgin now to cancel your service with them. Don't wait as they can hold you to contract if it is less than the notice period before the price rise is due to take effect. Hopefully you will be offered six more months at the old price without having to re-contract. The cancellation takes 31 days so you can always change your mind if they call your bluff.

Yes, you need to cancel within a month of being notified of the increase.
When you get the first bill with the increase it's usually too late to use the exit clause.

From what I hear, Virgin has become worse than Sky in this respect.
The deals in retention are much lower than Sky's and then they offer new customer type deals during the notice period if you answer their callbacks, if you don't then tough luck.

So nearly moved the fibre to Vodfone as they have a great offer at the moment.
Were some of these deals already extended for 12m?
I'm reasonably sure that the line rental deal isn't available from Winback, and no-one has Fibre Pro deals anymore, just Fibre Max deals.

Nope, all of this was agreed in the one call. Re line/fibre Pro, I told them what vodafone was offering....

Re: It's that time of year - end of contract

It is getting more difficult to get deals of Sky as well.

My latest TV offer ran out the other week so I did the usual ringing Sky. I already have a offer on my Max fibre (7.50 a month off that for 10 months).

I managed to get a new offer on my Sky Cinema (8.00 off) as well as an offer on my Sky Variety package (7.00 off that), although I had to sign a new 18 month contract, but apparently the offer runs the full term of the contract and not like previous 10month offers for signing a new 12 month contract.

I used the leverage that BT are selling the Sky Cinema package for only 13.50 a month where as the full price from Sky is 18.00 a month.
