      All carry a 12 month re-contract period.
They can only apply ONE of these offers (with exception of the home move offer[currently]). If they apply TWO or more of the above they are risking their jobs.

Selected accounts can get higher offers but this isn't for the advisor to decide and is usually dependent on the previous discount you were on, ie if you were on 12 months half price you will get offered 6/12 months 25% off (unless it was a new customer offer in which case it will just be standard offers).

Standard [current] offers like half price broadband or the 7.50 Fibre can be given along with these as long as you don't have these products already.
The advisors can only decide to give offers that show up. There are none that they can just add at discretion. There is a section in the offers called "targeted offers" or "mail shots". These are where the 25% and such will be found, I believe that's called a roll-off on the screen.

The offers you say are standard are totally account dependant. I saw a case last week of someone who had everything sky offered but for some reason had a Sky HD box instead of the plus, and subsequently no offers had been triggered on his account and he'd been with Sky for about 8 years! Retentions can't do a free home move call out anymore.

Oh, you missed 50% line rental for 12 months too . That's there as the final bargaining tool they have.

Rather than have a go at everyone on the forum and in public, might I suggest that you do some checking first?

From my understanding Retentions are provided with different offers each day. Some of the offers may last a day or less, others a few days and a few will last a week or more.

So what may be available to someone today, may not be available tomorrow.

Also, from what I understand, there are several Retensions departments. Some may have a different set of offers to another. So you may well not have the same offers as bubblegun mentioned and he may not have the same as yourself.

Don't ask me why there should be such discrepancy. I don't work for Sky so I have no complete understanding of why they love making it hard for everyone involved.

      Re: Banned from sky!

In retentions we're told to tell customers that all offers are POS only. They do change often, but it's not a massive change and not that often. No offers have been removed in the last month for example. But it is possible that they could change daily, as some are triggered by frequent customer interaction. So it's mainly to cover themselves.

If I get my way, then in September when the prices increase yet again, I will be telling sly to stuff their TV service.

I can get what I want to view elsewhere.

Sly is good but vastly overpriced. I have come close to cancelling my sub every time the prices have risen, but this time it will be the straw that breaks the camels back.

      Re: Banned from sky!

supply and demand if people stuff like sports and movies they either join or leave , if enough drop out then prices would drop (probably) the problem with deals somebody has to pay for them somewhere along the line.
ok i dont own a tv just have telephone and bb so im not good example but i hear alot of complaints about charges/cost just think if you want something enough you will pay.

      Are you sure?
Lots of offers were added in May and they were gone by the start of June.

      Re: Banned from sky!

Giving a slightly incorrect address may work for the TV install but not for the phone.

If the address does not exist it is unlikely to go ahead as when they do the availability check then the address will not show.

If the address does exist but is a neighbours the the line may go active but Openreach will connect to the neighbours house.
