      Bye bye Sky

Just rang Sky, asked if i could have their fibre for the 6months half price, was told no, as i had line rental with them and it was only for customers who didnt, so I said as im out of multiroom contract in 8 weeks (im OOC with all other products), can i have any offers, to which all i was given was 12m free BB, bearing in mind i have had no offers in 10 years of being with them, and told him how pointless an offer that is as im looking at fibre. Was told tough, thats all we have for me. He then proceeded to cancel, at my request, the multi sub early and leave sky TV, and no probs, this was done at a charge of approx 40, before being told an engineer was coming to deinstall the multibox!

Hang on, I am paying the remainder of my contract up, therefore surely i should keep the box? Anyway, it looks like we are moving elsewhere for out multimedia needs, BT/TT/PN await....

I love the BS that some people get told.

I haven't heard of an engineer coming out to remove any kit, especially as Sky go to great pains to remind us customers that we own the STBs. You are most unlikely to get a Sky Engineer to visit IMHO. They would simply disable the viewing card in the 2nd STB.

If an engineer does proceed to attempt to remove the STB as for the full price of 249 o be paid first, since you own it.

You could upgrade to Sports 1 or 2 for 13 per month and you could get the 6 months free fibre offer as this can be given to existing tel and bb customers with sport.
You cannot have any other offers with it though.

This is almost 6 months half price fibre.
