      Connect a PC to Television

      Hi I have connected a PC to my 32" Telly but I would like to know if its safe to use the tv as a tv with the pc attached eg PC via PC input then select HDMI to watch normal TV then select PC input when needed to use PC. Thanks Paul

      That is definitely safe. I have one of our pc's connected to the TV and simply jump between inputs on the TV whether that be Sky, PC or console. These are never unplugged.

      I've been doing this for a few years now, even when I had an older CRT type TV.

      Many TVs now come with a dedicated VGA connector or HDMI port associated with a socket for the sound for those computers/laptops which don't support the sound over the HMDI or DVI lead.

      Of course don't forget to not leave your PC displaying a static image for hours on end as this could cause the image to burn on the TV.

      What a strange question...why wouldn't it be safe?

      "Image burn" was only a problem on older CRT or Plasma screens.
