      Blu-ray player

M$ didn't want to pay the extra money and pass the higher costs to us to include a Bu-ray player with Windows 8. If you happen to have a Blu-ray drive this can be "annoying". If you would like one which is free, then Leawo has an answer....

      Leawo 2014 Back2School Offer: Giveaway Blu-ray Player & 83% Off Video Pack!

This is for both Mac and Windows based computers!

Both the free offer and compo close on 9th September 2014.

If you don't happen to have a Blu-ray drive in the computer, then it will also play ISO images.

      Re: Blu-ray player

Thanks Scubbie, but the 'free' BR Player seems to be a 30 day trial. After installing it and putting in the code, it comes up with the 30 day trial notice. Or am I doing something wrong?

You must be doing something wrong. After I input the registration key, the 30 day limit was instantly removed,.

Click on register and copy and paste the registration key.

You are not including a space at the end are you?

A common error that I do often.

      Re: Blu-ray player

Worked fine and registered for me on W7 and W8.1
      Works nicely too.

Only criticism, is the skinned interface it comes with. Would like to remove that.

      Edit:
Just ran Malwarebytes and it picked up added registry entries for pup.optional.multiplug on both W7 and W8 as a potential threat.
Ran Malwarebytes before and after the install, so it was this program that created these.
Glad I installed this in a VM first.
      Uninstalled it now.

That's what I have been doing, but it goes into a cycle bring it back to the same thing. I will uninstall and try again.

OK, tried it again and got

      Blu-ray player-capture2.jpg

Clicking Yes, brings me back to

      Blu-ray player-capture3.jpg

I think I will give up now.
