Thread moved OUT of the Sky Fibre section as obviously you do not have Sky Fibre and only wish to upset the membership.

Also FTTC does not correctly deliver 300mbps to anyone. There is a new standard which will support upto 200mbps, but this hasn't been rolled out to anyone.

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps (in inital connection time)
Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms

With FTTP/H this will be possible on all lines, yours in nothing out of the ordinary. I think the engineer has been feeding you bull.

correct, its a 30a profile, but you will need to be very close to the FTTC cab to reach the top speeds as its even more prone to interference then the 17a profile
