Engineer was telling me that my line supports up to 300 meg
right NOW and that is fttc.
When BT do Fibre to the home/premises
speeds of 1 gb wll be possible.....

Thread moved OUT of the Sky Fibre section as obviously you do not have Sky Fibre and only wish to upset the membership.
Please act with a degree of maturity when posting on this Public forum.
Also FTTC does not correctly deliver 300mbps to anyone. There is a new standard which will support upto 200mbps, but this hasn't been rolled out to anyone.

With FTTP/H this will be possible on all lines, yours in nothing out of the ordinary. I think the engineer has been feeding you bull.When BT do Fibre to the home/premises
speeds of 1 gb wll be possible.....

correct, its a 30a profile, but you will need to be very close to the FTTC cab to reach the top speeds as its even more prone to interference then the 17a profile
