    Tesco

    This is a discussion on Tesco within the General Computing and Internet forums, part of the Community channel category; Tesco cant give me a mac code. so i will have to cancel then start again from scratch with sky. ...

      Tesco

      Tesco cant give me a mac code. so i will have to cancel then start again from scratch with sky. It looks like i will have to have sky connect aswell.

      they cant give you a MAC ? seems strange unless your on LLU but i wasnt aware tesco used LLU,
      unless you mean your still in a 12 month contract with them ?

      i finished my 12 month contract but i think tesco use ntl so that may be wat the problem is.

      yes your ip is ntl not come across this before, but if you do cancel you could be without Internet for about 5-10 days so be prepared for that also don't cancel anything until you get an email from sky with an order code which lasts about 28 days so plenty of time

      ye im in no rush, just looking forward to gettin skyconnect which has faster speeds and is the same price as tesco.

      Just a shame SKY dont sell bread, then they would be better than tesco in every way

      wohooo. just rang tesco and they now give mac codes. Rang them last month and they never...strange. So does this mean when sky get back to me with a date it'll be a straight transfer and i wont need to wait for my line to be reactivited?

      you should now just be able to switch with little downtime no need to cancel any service
