Finally got an iphone

Finally got one, but had to wait until it was available on Orange

What a great piece of tech it is, have really enjoyed using it up to nowm it is really a pleasure to use and it seems very natural. The only thing I find dissapointing is the lack of ringtones, well the ability to just drag one of your mp3's into it anyway.

I really don't like the idea of paying Apple just to download a song I already have at £1 a time just for the privilage of putting on as a ringtone.

I have seen a couple of mp3 - m4r audio convertors out there but i'm not sure if they will do it or not and don't fancy paying to find out. Any ideas?

I've had my iPhone for a couple of months now and it's gotta be the best gadget around! I love it!

I used iRinger :: iPhone Ringtone Factory [iPhone Ringtone, iPhone Ringtones, iPhone Ringtone Maker, iPhone Ringtone Creator] for creating some ringtones. It worked great. There is also Ringtone Expressions - Home

wish i had a iphone but cant afford one simply cause of the price and i wont go on contract either due to past problems with contract phones prefer pay as you go hope it comes down soon as i want to replace my lg viewty as this phone does my head in lol:cool :

I've been considering getting one for christmas but what's put me off is the battery life issue that seems to be dominating a certain forum on the Apple Discussions website. Has anyone here experienced these issues?

Nope.

I don't have any problems with battery life on my 3GS. It's certainly no worse than my old N95.

Battery life is terrible! We have 5 iPhones in the family and none of them do more than 2 days between charges.
The big problem is the Apps you can install. Playing games consumes a lot of the phones power. Wifi consumes a lot too. You'll get a lot of fun with an iPhone though, There are times when I just can't put mine down!

Oh, did I say that you can also make phone calls with it too!
