Re: windows xp 64 bit

The only fix I know for getting messenger to run on windows xp 64 is to use the older version 8.1 it can be found here Download details: Windows Live Messenger 8.1

For the problems with windows updates there is a log in the main drives(usually C drive) windows folder called WindowsUpdates check that out for error codes and try googling the codes

Re: windows xp 64 bit

I don't know about windows live mail as it ships with outlook express and I am running outlook XP on it with no problems.

Has MS actually said that windows live mail will actually run on XP 64?

Re: windows xp 64 bit

XP64 was a waste of time it was never finished, Vista/Win7 64 are both better products for 64 bit,

Re: windows xp 64 bit

I know that I have had the latest windows Live working OK on My windowsXP X64. I didn't like it, SOOOOOO MUCHHHHHH wasted space in each window. I am now using a program called Digsby from Digsby = IM + Email + Social Networks on My X64 WindowsXP with GREAT success. I did have to do somthing with the rigistry or .exe for MSN live before it would connect though.
