Help with Anti virus program

Hi there,

Has anyone used this Anti virus at the moment I'm using AVG but I'm finding it takes longer to scan my computer, A mate has downloaded it and said it good, but he the same as me don't know much about anti virus programs, any help be useful either to delete avg and use this new program or stay with AVG.

Thanks

Yes its a good free antivirus, updates can sometimes be a little slow to connect but i will not go back to AVG.

Re: Help with Anti virus program

I have also stopped using AVG8, far to many problems since Ver 8 was released. I now use Avast 4 Free and find it, so far, very good.

Another vote for avast!

It does what it says on the tin and just gets on with it in the background.

I've used all sorts and this is the best one I've found yet.

Yes I installed it on an older PC recently, as you say AVG was a bit of a nightmare. Avira was very good, had to change the default scanning to read only, as read+write was taking too long. Still nowhere near as bad as AVG 8 though - if you pay you can choose which scanners to install, but the option isn't available on the free version. They can be turned off but the the program doesn't like it...
