Re: Internet Explorer 8 Beta 2

I gave it even less time than you....after only half a day I'd got rid of it and gone back to 7...no discernable improvements have been made really....slighly quicker but problems with certain web pages etc odd crashes and lock ups...miles from being anywhere near a finished and releasable product! Not impressed at all!

So much so that I've now decided to use Mozilla Firefox for the forseeable future!

Re: Internet Explorer 8 Beta 2

Yeh I tried IE8 Beta 2 for a couple of days. To say that it's a little 'buggy' would be an understatement. Are they sure it's not IE8 Aplha?

New tabs had a fit every time I tried to open one.

Online banking, for me at least, didn't work - told me my browser was not supported.

Some pages loaded very slowly, if they loaded at all, others seemed to load very fast.

Had to switch to 'compatible view' for many sites before I could read them.

SkyUser still looked good tho

Oh well. Back to IE7 and Firefox then

Cool Re: Internet Explorer 8 Beta 2

I'm a FF user, but use IE7 - for Livefooty Doctor (it don't work with FF), so given the comments, I'll give it a miss, wouldn't want to miss free football!

Re: Internet Explorer 8 Beta 2

I think everyone should realize that this is a Beta release. It's purpose is to find the bugs that are showing up. If you are not prepared to act as a Tester and report the bus to MS, then don't even try it.

I think by the time it is fully released (there could be another Beta and a couple of RCs.) we will be using Firefox 4

Re: Internet Explorer 8 Beta 2

I had problems with Explorer v7 so I switched to Mozilla Firefox. Now, I only use Firefox v3.01. Suggest you give it a try. I prefer it!
