It's a Beta 2 which means it's probably been through at least a couple of stages of 'in-house' Alpha testing, another stage of testing, probably by recognised Beta testers, and now it's out for general Beta testing. I'd expect it to have a few minor bugs. From what i've seen it's barely useable.

So, in answer to your question, I'd have expected a little better but, then again, I'd also expect to be able to post an opinion without without someone making snide remarks in return. Unfortunately, we never seem to get what we we expect, do we?

Well in future to save disappointment don't download anything that isn't finished, be patient and wait for the finished product.

Re: Internet Explorer 8 Beta 2

wow, my PC must be good then seeing as its running on par with FF3...

with regards to add-ons - don't use any so don't miss them...

not had a single crash, ok there are sites that don't render properly but that's cause the code isn't written for IE8 yet...you just click the 'IE7' button and it goes in compatibility mode - problem solved...

not removed it yet as there's no need to - might end getting me back to IE if the final release irons out the bugs...

Re: Internet Explorer 8 Beta 2

I recently started using FF3 having read several reviews raving about the speed increase, I had tried other versions of FF but never really got on with them and always went back to IE.

I tried IE8 last night and found its has the same boring look as IE7, and nothing that would make me switch from FF, it would seem after all these years of ignoring FF and using IE I have finally become a FF Fanboy.
