Re: i would like to know how to broadcast a website

First thing I would do is remove the potentially damaging script that tries to install itself once you visit the link that I have since removed.

Secondly, I would remove the 50p for 5 days access. You would have more success if you provided content for free.

Re: i would like to know how to broadcast a website

Hi there CC.
I'm answering your post because SciFi is one of my interests as well. Star Trek, Star Gate, Dr Who (Who is very low budget stuff tho compared to the American stuff) etc etc.

Anyway I'm not entirely sure what your asking. You don't, as such, "broadcast" a web site. What happens is you build your website using either a program like MS Frontpage or Adobe Dreamweaver (very expensive programs and there are free ones on the net) or you use straight HTML code to build it if your a clever so and so which I am not LOL so I use Frontpage. Then you get someone, usually for a fee, to host that web page for you. My hoster is Easyspace and costs me about £23 a year I think. For that I get web space (a domain) and a domain email address. Your website (or domain name) name will be unique to you and will be registered with a company called Nominet as long as you keep paying the subscription. No-one else can use your unique web address. To get your files up to the web site you use an FTP (file transfer protocol) program, I use Terrapin, and again there freebies on the web.

Dunno whether that's of any help to you but if you need any more info just ask. Incidentally I do have a web site of my own which you are more than welcome to visit if you want. I am reluctant tho to post the web address in a public forum so if you want to visit it give me a PM. It's only family thing with some info on a club I run so it's nothing earth shattering but it might give you some ideas.

Re: i would like to know how to broadcast a website

Yeah CC if you do that sorta of stuff then dont bother asking for any help. I didn't visit your web site because the link did not work, obviously because NR removed it. Thanks for that NR.

I might be misjudging you but if your intentions were to cause problems to the good people in here that try to help you out then you will get no more help from me or anyone else in here.

You have got more chance of platting fog. We do not wish to get penalised by Search Engines or McAfee Site Advisor for allowing potentially dangerous malware scripts.

You could try downloading and installing McAfee Site Advisor it may give you an idea of what is going on.
