Re: Say Hello

hi all

New Sky broadband user (moved to save cash and cos I was told it was better than AOL - jury's out on that one at the mo).

Had a prob with losing connection all the time but got at least partly resolved but unplugging my cordless phone which i gather is a common problem.

I have no technical knowhow whatsoever so I'll be checking in to try to resolve issues I might have.

Cheers

Eddie

Re: Say Hello

Alrighty,

Found this forum whilst trying to find various contact numbers for Sky, some useful info on here has definately helped me so far however I am still a long way from getting my problems with Sky solved.

I won't go into it here in too much detail but from my perspective I was mis-sold a complete Sky package and it wasn't until the TV and phone line were in for 3 weeks they let me know I couldn't have all three for £26/month due to my local exchange being thrown of Noah's Ark for being outdated. Currently experiencing atrocious connection speed and next to useless customer service.

Hopefully I can find some patience and grace from this forum next time I have the mispleasure of speaking to a Sky Customer Service agent...

Anyhoo, on a cheerier note, hello to everyone.

Stanner

Re: Say Hello

Hi All ,
Ive been a sky tv user for a good why but only just today decided to move over to sky bb and phone,
partially because of the price but mostly because of the poor customer service ive received from my current Sheffield based isp and the issues ive experienced from there capping of my connection every month after i reach the HUGE 20gb limit
[/rant]

Anyway, seems like a nice bunch here
hope ill be around for a while

Re: Say Hello

Plusnet by any chance?

Used to be with them when they sold unlimited broadband at 39.99 per month, then denied it, and they explained that it was a mistake, but for only a few weeks, your honour.

you'll still get broadband speeds for most activities such as
browsing, emails, and gaming.
when obviously that wasnt the case..
regular kicks from game servers, uber slow page load times and complete lack of connectivity to email and FTP servers.
Hopefully thats a thing of the past now though
