True but they do do a 48 hour week accross 6 days and I wouldn't be surprised if some went beyond 50 hours.

      Re: God they earn alot..

Am I missing something? 12000 to 19000 for an installer isn't amazing - I work in a call centre on practically minimum wage 6ph and get 13,000 per year working 3.5 days a week on average. Increase that to 5 days and I'm on 19,000ish per year...

Not to brag, but it seems quite low pay to me

Sorry to burst the bubble here but the reason the guy said "sorry mate " and walked off wasn't because he was lazy but because of safety/insurance purposes.

Our installation guys earn more than that a year just fitting blinds and I often say to them how hard can it be to drill a couple of holes and screw it in place? They earn almost as much as me and I look after our companies IT single handed at 2 sites 200 miles apart.

      Re: God they earn alot..

I think thats a crap wage!

      1. Going up LADDERS, Danger Money!

      2. Going into peoples Crappy/smelly house's, kneeling on carpets! Danger Money!

      3. Dealing with Fussey customers! 'That Sky Box isn't the same colour as all my other stuff'!

We have had Sky TV for about 6yrs now, and the guy that came out to fit it was a good guy. He asked me where I wanted the Dish, then when he was in our house, he left loads of lead, just incase my wife wanted to move the TV/SKY/VIDEO to the other end of the living room. Top Guy.

      Pay peanuts get monkeys!

Sorry to go against the flow but 20k ain't exactly a top wage, not bad considering no qualifications are needed but personally you would need to pay me alot more than that to go risking breaking my neck running up and down ladders on a wet windy day!
