How get the PSP online with SKY Broadband

Hi,

I've just got SKY broadband with the NetGear wirless GD834GT modem and eveything works fine. I'm just having trouble getting the PSP online , with the Netgear .

The PSP recognises the modem, but from some reason I’m having trouble getting the PSP online. Could anyone explain or point me towards a tutorial on how to set up the PSP online functions through the Sky/Netgear modem?

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Make wireless is enabled on router
1.The load up psp goto Infrastructure mode
2.New connection
3.Scan
4. Select SSID SKY*****
5. Select WPA-PSK, should be allrdy highlighted
6. Enter the key on the back of the sky card or ur own if changed thing 8 Chars Long
7.Adress Settings = custom
8.IP Address = Manual
Ip Adress = 192.168.0.5 (example)
Subnet 255.255.255.255
def router 192.168.0.1
prim dns 192.168.0.1
Proxy server
Do Not use
I.Browser
Do not start
Name= ?
presst next
press X
Test to see if working

We had to download the latest firmware for the psp from their website before our 2 psp's would connect.

Changing firmware would make minimal difference, when i tried to access my network through psp it just kept on saying exhanging key information, i suggest you put ur wireless secuirty on disable and see if ur psp works then if it does work put ur security to WEP.

I have to enter Subnet as 255.255.255.0 to ensure that my PSP connects fine.
