I don't know if this is of interest, but I was with Orange BB and on their basic 512 package. I always had pings around 30-40 and well pleased with that. I am in the process of changing from Orange to Sky Connect and it appears I am mid order. I say mid order because although I am still connected to Orange, my connection has increased to between 3 and 3.6mb. Strange thing is, my ping has gone up to 50-60.

      Yeah, go figure.

If you can wait 2 weeks, when I am connected I will give you my pings, currently on F2S and get <50.

Satdish has no problems with his pings, as we normally play on the same server.

He has been on Sky for a few months.

my pings about 40-50 with absolutely no lag.
mid 40's do seem to be average on online gaming now days anyway so you should have no problems

you was probably on FAST path on your old isp, give a better ping but is less stable on long lines.

Sky uses Interleave path small increase on ping but gives a stable connection over distance

Ping of 40-50 is good for interleave. When I was with F2S they changed my connection to interleave and my pings were 80+ Got it changed back to fastpath and they were around 40ish.

My ping is always around 47 on any close server on bf 2142. It was lower with orange but less stable. Its to do with that interleaving i think

would sky turn off the interleaving to make lower pings?

if your playing a first person shooter then is 40-50 ok or ideally a ping of 20 ish would be great
