I play xbox when at home but lately I have found this to be quite laggy so I have had them change the Max Delays to 8ms. Seems to work but there is still a bit of lag. Now I do think this may be that there can sometimes be upto 6-7 devices connected to my router. Phones ipads etc. My major problem is my sister streams a lot of the time. Now I need some way to be able to limit her streaming in order to keep a decent connection and not lag via xbox live. Is there any possible way to set QOS without the need of a new router, or if someone could point me in the direction of a router that would enable me to do so that would be fantastic.

Hoping someone can help as this is now driving me crazy.

I have read that firmware 2.8 has QOS settings but I am unable to find a download client or know how to set this.

      Any help would be appreciated!

      Thanks!

This was written for the Sagem 2504, I don't think it is compatible with the Sagemcom 2504N.

I don't think there is any way to change the QoS settings in this router.

There are many routers with efficient QoS but you are a bit limited if you are on a MER only line. The Billion 7800n is the only one I know of which supports Sky's MER and has adjustable QoS, but there may be others in the Billion range which can do this.

Re: Help with QOS among other things!

The Billion 770n is in that range but I don't know if it has compatible firmware for Sky's MER - Billion Wireless ADSL2+ VPN Firewall Router Series maybe one of its users can say.

Probably the best thing for you to do is get hold of another non sky router and see if you can get it to connect using PPPoA. Maybe one of your friends has one lying about. Any ADSL router would do. There is plenty of advice on setting it up in the Asking for Help Section. If you can connect with PPPoA it widens your choice considerably.
