Seems like the same conclusion I have found else where. You're always a great help Isitme. The "DoS" only appears as far as I'm aware when I quit a game but it doesn't happen all the time. We'll that that is what is causing it. The 23067 port is not open at the moment on my router but I'm still confused as to what this port is used for on Xbox Live...it only opens when I connect, or at least it did yesterday and the day prior.

It appears you can't stop the DOS reports on the Netgear V2 DG934G routers SKY provide. I have unticked everything and just noticed some fresh logs for Xbox after MW3. Oh well, just thought I'd let you know, I know the DOS is nothing to worry about though.

When you are in game lobby's various people ping you
the router is presuming these are DOS attacks and blocking the pings
e.g. anything from that ip is ignored which is bad

Your best option is to disable Intrusion Detection but im not sure if there's an option on sky routers
      as i dont use one..

Like I said, I know these "DOS" are not "DOS attacks". I'm more concerned with trying to stop my ruter from logging all of this and bulking the log reports up. I can lie with it regardless haha.

If you uncheck 'Connections to the Web-based interface of this Router' that should stop the connection attempts being logged. If it is not try unchecking it and then reboot the router from the routers GUI, that may cause the setting to 'take'. reboot, not reset.

and said person will be unable to connect to your party

Thanks for the feedback both of you. I will try the reboot. As for the friends IP, I haven't had any issues so far with friends IP address's thus far and cannot find an option to stop intrusion detection.

Re: Xbox ports and DoS attacks?

Just a quick update on this. Running SKY Test and rebooting the router doesn't have any affect on the router logging the "DoS attacks". Oh well, just have to put up with it until I get fiber and the new N router and hope that that router has DoS reporting as a turn-off option.

Re: Xbox ports and DoS attacks?

I have added the ports to the firewall and set the log to never, will see if this works. Otherwise doesn't matter, it may also fix the possible problem mentioned by Shonk, maybe?
