      Xbox 360 wireless adapters

After suffering recurring problems with my connection to xbox live in the past few months I have come to the conclusion that it is in fact my wireless receiver on my xbox that is the problem, so have decided to invest in a new one.

The big problem i'm having is i dont know which one to buy as there is 2 models, the single antenna (which I currently have) and the new Duel antenna or 'N' series adapter. However I have no idea if my router is of 'N' strength or not.

I'm running a standard Sagecom f@st2304, with firmware version: 5.14.6.1a4N, to its credit it supports the 2 laptops in the house very well. But my question is this, Do I have an 'N' speed router as after searching on the forum for a fair while, I just got more confused

Any help would be much appritiated

Doesnt really answer your question but your best option would be an ethernet cable.
      Loads cheaper too.

Your right tbh, its just the distance of the router to the console is a bit of a stretch. used to have a wired connection and it was great! but unfortunately it's no longer an option =P

What about a pair of HomePlugs?

      Re: Xbox 360 wireless adapters

I'd forgotten about them, am I right in thinking that one plugs into a socket near the router, then an Ethernet cable from the router to the plug. then the same but with the device?

      Re: Xbox 360 wireless adaptors

      Something like that.

One sits by your router, with a short Ethernet cable from the router to the 1st HomePlug. The 2nd HomePlug can have another short Ethernet cable that could plug into your Xbox.

If you were so inclined, you could plug a 5-Port Network Switch into the 2nd HomePlug. This would then mean the you could be free to plug in other devices, such as an Internet ready TV, in to it too.
