      Hmmm....

Send data --> data has errors, please resend --> resend data ---> data has errors again --> resend data again --> data received without error

      or

Send data --> data received & ok.

Re: How do errors on the line effect gaming?

The question should be: How do you know that you are getting lots of errors?

Under normal circumstances only the people at Sky can see you line stats which include the errors.

I would suggest that you perhaps look at a couple of things to see if you can improve your connection. Examples include:

      • use the short grey ADSL lead with the Sky router
      • ensure that you are using the Master Socket
      • if you have an NTE5 socket, plug the router in to the Test Socket to see if things improve (if you are unsure, please post your router's stats as it is now and in the test socket)

How to get your router statistics

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
