(i have suspected this for some time now as there is an issure with some of the phone lines in my house one of the spare rooms had a problem were the wires in side the socket were touching each other and disconecting the internet at the house also a technician said we need some stuff rewiring but i didn't understand)

Exactly, if the internet improves then the problem is the internal wiring.

      If it improves:
If the extensions are not needed, you can disconnect them and use the master socket and you will achieve better speeds.

If they are needed you will need to improve your wiring in your house to get the speed any higher than it currently is.

@mad_max926: You are ADSL1, not ADSL2+. This indicates to me that you are on the Sky BB Connect package.

You will not achieve more than a 8Mb connection.

If you could look at SamKnows and check the exchange that you are connected to, you should find that Sky does not have their equipment installed in your exchange.

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms

You phone and explain that your internal wiring was causing problems and you have now fixed the internal wiring and stats have improved and you would like your connection to be re configured. They should configure it the best they can.
