      gamer profile help

      i asked to put on a gamer profile a few days back and today when i have found that my download and upload have both dropped but my ping time have increased, what could have caused this

      Did you get advised that your profile had been changed. It may not have been done yet. The reduction in your speed could be down to line conditions.

      There is also a small chance you have been moved to the SVBN, this can have a small effect on your speed, either up or down.

      i am guessing so this was to response that i got on the 23/10

      Thank you for contacting Sky Help Centre.

      As requested I have applied a Gamer profile to your line. This should lower your ping times and ensure a more stable connection while enjoying online gaming. You may notice a slight reduction in speed while engaging in general browsing, however this should be minimal.
      In order to stabilise your line I have run a ten day Dynamic Line Management. It would be beneficial if you were to leave your router on at all times for the next ten consecutive days. This will allow the process to complete, resulting in the highest possible speed for your line with minimal disruption to the connection.

      I think I would reply to the email and tell them your ping time has increased, not reduced.
