      PS3 Moderate NAT question

I'm just wondering why I get an open nat on the XBOX but on the PS3? Fifa 12 on my XBOX has open nat in game but the PS3 version says moderate? Router settings are default and XBOX is on automatic settings, the PS3 is in DMZ which I thought would sort it but it dont.

Am I doing something wrong or are the PS3's ports just are not as easy to open?

If you have MW2 try loading that up and see if you get an Open NAT type. If you do then eject the disc without quitting and then put in FIFA. This definitely works with BlackOps moderate NAT types.

It's abit of a mind boggler really. I have tryed DMZ on the PS3 and booted up MW2 got open nat, then booted up Fifa and moderate? XBOX MW2 & Fifa is fine as usual both open. My last option is to manually port forward on the PS3 fingers crossed!

You might also like to experiment with UPnP enabled and disabled.

      Re: PS3 Moderate NAT question

I've tryed DMZ with upnp disabled in the PS3 settings no luck, also set up the ports with upnp disabled and still the same. Would it be worth disabling upnp on the router to see if that has any effect?

      Re: PS3 Moderate NAT question

you could also try and open the ports for fifa theres a site called port forwarding on there is a list of routers though i dont know if the sky sagemcom is listed. then after you select the router then select the game like fifa 11 fifa 12 etc then imput the port numbers in your router.

      Re: PS3 Moderate NAT question

I've tryed that but it seems there is no way to get an open nat on Fifa PS3, maybe if I tried a direct connection but that aint an option. If anybody can get an open nat for Fifa on the PS3 over wireless please let me know lol.
