Post Will Sky ever increase the maximum upload speed?

Hello all, I noticed the other day that O2 offer "the works" package where their upload speed is increased to 2.5meg. Also, Be Unlimited offer a similar package. Unfortunately neither Be or O2 are available at my exchange but I was wondering if there are any plans in the pipeline for Sky to do something similar at any point?

Unfortunately Sky only appears to offer ADSL2+ with Annex A.

o2 has been offering Annex M for a little while now.

In order to increase the upload speed, the download speed in decreased a little. You need a different piece of equipment at the exchange where you are connected to and for the ISP to support Annex M.

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms

Ah ok, thanks for clearing that up for me. I guess I'll have to hope and pray that the FTTC comes to my area as predicted, in September. I'm not banking on it though

      It wont happen
The globespan gear is only annex a and is also unstable over 1216 kbps so are hard locked to not allow a sync over 1216 at firmware level even if cst set you to 1312 and your line is capable of it

I dont know about the broadcom gear its alot newer so should do annex m
