Major lag on 360 at points

I've had this problem for a while now, and I still can't fix it. Basically, at random points while I'm on my Xbox the connection will go absolutely terrible, but my latency bar will stay normal. I get regularly disconnected from servers and fail to reconnect until I restart my router, at which point the connection will be fine for a couple of hours. Here's my stats on a Speedtest during the lag:

My 360 is on a wired connection, Open NAT type, I've set a DMZ for my 360's IP Address and all ports should be forwarded. Here's my router stats:

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 8000 kbps 448 kbps
Line Attenuation 20.0 db 9.5 db
Noise Margin 5.3 db 22.0 db

Thanks for any help in advance.

Re: Major lag on 360 at points

Know your pain same problem here. Numerous phone calls to sky they finally owned up last week that they hadn't put me on a gamer profile as I had requested months ago. They amended this last week if any thing its now worse and the only other noticeable difference is I know can't get a connect above 5.3mb.

Just been back onto them now and again they are suppost to be profiling my line and calling me back. Needles to say I'm not holding my breath.... but they could surprise me

I would guess the problem is the package - Connect.
A particularly inappropriate name for the service.

      Hi Neown,

Are you able to confirm whether or not this happens during the day or at evenings & weekends?

Do you have this issue streaming content on anything such YouTube?

      Really?

Sky BB connect is rubbish. If you go over the monthly limit then you get throttled to speeds which are offencive.

The monthly cap is averaged out on a per-day basis, which makes it even easier to go over the 1.3Gb limit.

If you were to view a couple of BBC iPlayer HD programs in one day, you are very likely to be over the allowance.

Frequently people post that they are getting download speeds of around 500kbps and fail to understand why.

Why is it that other ISPs are able to properly manage the products which are BT Wholesale, rather than LLU based and Sky cannot?

Sky BB Connect customers pay 17 per month, which isn't discounted if they have additional Sky products.

It's about time that Sky actually invested money in this product, changed how it is managed and increased the cap.

Those who are on Sky BB Connect often have not LLU provision within their local telephone exchange and many have little understanding of how BB is managed.

      Need I say more?
