      If your master socket looks like the one on the left then you don't have a test socket and hence no point getting a screw driver. If it looks like the one on the right then you do have a test socket.

      I Cant even see the 3rd page of this thread because of the lag i am getting but my Master sockets looks like the one on the right.. it got screws on Each side. and just going to remove the rectangular extension before my filter downstairs and upstairs i am going to do the same, ill give it 5 minutes then re-post my stats

      Ok I Have gotten rid of the extension in my mums room upstairs and have Found the spare filter sky provided and connected it to the master socket, but I have plugged in the TV under the option '' Phone '' on the filter is that Ok?

      My Noise margin is 15.3db - 16.0db it keeps changing..

      Call Sky and ask them to reconfigure your line as you have made improvements to your wiring.

      If you must use an extension get a good quality twisted pair RJ11 cable, you can go up to about 7 m with a good cable, or leave the router by the master socket and use an ethernet cable to connect your PC. This can be up to about 100 M.
