Ping Problems for the last two weeks! ( EVENINGS )

Not sure what the hell is going on but nearly every evening now my pings are shooting up to atleast 300!. It started about two weeks ago and i've been on sky for atleast a year. Before that BT broadband for 4+years which didn't have the ping problem.

I'm having lag issues on many online servers and it's causing my damage's not to be registered. Mainly Battlefield!

Is your download throughput suffering at these times? If so your exchange may be one of those that is suffering output problems. This was put down to Anytime+ comng on line, but I doubt that was the real reason. Although the Easynet backbone is very good, the connection from some exchanges to it is not so good. Sky are in the process of upgrading these. You should report your problems to Sky, to make sure they are aware of it.

      Will do

My throughput doesn't seem to be suffering at all, maxing out my connection

My Ping is way to high though!

I have contacted sky help desk via email to have my max delay set to 8, no reply yet

Starting to look like a growing issue.

Reporting it to CST is a good idea

Is your ping times back to normal at all times, or just during the day?

Normal it was near enough 100 ping during gaming in BFBC2 instead of 200+, i'm actually seeing a ping of 20+ in the server browser which used to be 60 or even 100 on most nights

Re: Ping Problems for the last two weeks!

Sounds like you are connected to one of the aforementioned exchanges with issues.

You are on one of the best gamer profiles as it also has 0 impulse noise protection.

Think you may have to call sky and report it to CST. Tier 1 should be able to check your exchange and tell you if you are likely to have "Speed Issues" as it days in the info tab in work for the exchanges with peak time issues.
