      Unhappy Problem with connecting to xbox live

      Hi, Whenever i try to connect to xbox live it comes up with this..

      It seems to work in other places i've tried it but not in my house.. I have no idea why Is something wrong with the router or what? My xbox is not modified or anything i contacted microsoft about this and they're no help.. Please help i really want to play online..
      It comes up that "I'm banned" only in my house.. As i said it works elsewhere and it comes up everytime i try connecting

      Have you tried witching it all off and resetting your router?

      It might be that a particular IP address has been banned if you can get it working elsewhere. Resetting the router will hopefully provide you with a new IP address between the router and the Internet.

      Normally if you are banned it is the MAC code of the xbox that is banned and it will not work on xbox live again, this is usually due to the xbox being chipped but can also be done for other reasons.

      I have never known of an xbox to work elsewhere when it is banned.

      If it has been banned for a good reason you will not be able to get a swap under warranty as it is not faulty, you have done something your end to cause the ban.

      Care to enlighten us to what>>>???

      I didn't even have the change to sign in at home because it comes up with this... I'm kinda getting fed up with this error because i didn't do anything

      Did you get a new IP address? If not, try going into the Router settings and click the Sky Test link. This often gives you a new IP address.

      If you did get a new address and it still did not connect, then it is as Smithy suggests, the Xbox MAC is blocked, but it is difficult to see why it connects elsewhere.

      Just an idea, but could M$ have blocked the router's MAC address (intentionally or by mistake) or do they definitely block the MAC address of the actual box?

      I don't know I'll try another xbox and I guess this mystery will remain unexplained
