      Laggy games

Despite the line speed apparently increasing from 3 to 4Mbit with my old ISP to 6 to 7Mbit with SkyBB Max I'm finding most PC games have got a bit more laggy.

I use a wired connection rather than wireless.

The main game I play is EVE Online. The quality of the connection has really gone downhill, mates who play are reporting no problems.

It's pretty annoying as MMORPG's are not know for their low ping requirements compared to FPS games.

Anyone else experiencing laggy gameplay since switching?

      @ Zippie.... PC

Yeah i find i get a lot more laggyness now.

      It comes and goes though.

I used to have a 1mb AOL connection and that was generaly very stable but obviously slower.
I now have the Connect and find it some times grind to a halt. Even though i constantly sync at 8128!

I play older games like MechWarrior 4 and FreeLancer... shouldn't be too taxing i would have thought!

I'm playing WoW. After a couple of very laggy experiences when I first ran the game, I opened a port on the router and have been playing consistently OK since. This is on both wireless and wired connections.
