PS3 and Sagem F@ST 2504 (Black Ops Online Gaming)

      Hi,

      I have a Sagem F@ST 2504 and a PS3.

I am trying to play Call Of Duty: Black Ops multiplayer online and I am having some issues... Sometimes I can get into online games no problem at all and all is good and then other times I cannot get onto any games at all, it just wont allow me too... My NAT type is 2, and on Black Ops it reads as 'moderate'

My friend also has the exact same set up, the Sagem F@ST 2504 and PS3, Black Ops aswell but he never ever experiences connection issues when trying to get into matches.

It is a wireless connection but then again, so is my friends... so how come I can't get into online games half the time but my friend has no problems at all?

      I hope someone can help,

      Many thanksPS

cause black ops is broken, mainly on ps3.

so to cure this you can try, assigning your ps3 a static ip address either on the router or ps3 settings. and then put that ip address in a box that says dmz server in the setup of your router.

Re: PS3 and Sagem F@ST 2504 (Black Ops Online Gaming)

Won't forwarding ports, static IP or DMZ leave my ps3 or internet vulnerable??

If not, thats great... ill give it a go, how do I go about setting these up??

I still don't understand though why I would need to do such things but if need be then I will... I even set up my friends internet, ps3, everything and didn't forward any ports or set an DMZ.

      Thanks for your help

theres not really anyway anybody can hack into a ps3 via the internet,so a dmz would be ok.

the static ip gived a fixed route to the ps3, the dmz then says the route can be left open for any port number. allowing for a straight connection between ps3 and internet

I have 2 PS3s and the Sagem router and no matter what i do i end up with one open and one moderate.

Put MW2 in though and everything is open so it is the heap of junk that currently is the PS3 version of Blops.
