Connection being lost and bandwith exceeded

m hoping someone can give me some advise here.
to explain, i play a lot of poker online and frequently watch skyplayer and iplayer at the same time.
yesterday and today as i do this. my poker room is disconnecting frequently ( which could become costly ), then the player is just stopping and as iof its refreshing. ecventually it will come back on after a few minutes and then do the same.
i get the odd error message that bandwith has exceeded.

i cant really find any software to monitor my connection to tell me if it has stopped (temporarily) or not. and browsing onlines a minefield of forums.

      help please!

If you are watching Sky Player and iPlayer, especially using HD videos, as well as gaming and you have a low connection speed, you connection will be swamped and quite possible drop. Post your stats and let us see how your connection speed is.
How to get your router statistics

Your situation will be worse if you are also using wireless to connect to the router. You can see when your internet connection drops by watching the router. If the i light turns orange then green, it means it is disconnecting then re-connecting.

You are probably dropping the wireless connection. If it continues to drop try changing the channel on the router. The best way to do this is to download Inssider from the link below and use it to discover the channels in use in your area. Choose a channel as far from those in use as possible.

Don't run all these heavy stuff running all at the same time, especially iPlayer and Sky player at the same time, you got to have at least one of these running to save yourself more bandwidth.
