      Connection Constantly Dropping

      Hey glad I came across this site

      Had nothing but pretty bad experiences with sky broadband as of late, last month I was disconnected for 11 days and recieved 2 engineer visits and turns out that there was no cell movement on my line, it dragged on and on and on but it got sorted in the end

      Now I have a new problem:

      Mid week last week my connection kept dropping mid game on xbox live, flashing orange then re-connecting, after 2 days of this it seemed to be ok again and its been constant today since I got home from work about 1pm up till this point 20.00, when I log in my connection is fine for a max of 10-20 mins and then it disconnects again, I have tried several things like disabling upnp and changing the wireless channel but no luck

      The router is a d-link and was sent brand new as a replacement router for the sagem that they thought I was having trouble with but actually wasn't, getting sick and tired of sky customer service and have requested a mac code to migrate, anyone be kind enough to give me any information to what the potential problem is because its driving me insane as I cannot play xbox live for more than 10 mins before being disconnected

      Tried phoning sky and they said someone from the cst will be contacting within 48 hours

      Hi are you having the issues mainly from 4pm till Midnight.

      Started at around 2pm GMT and still having issues at 1am GMT

      Just can't hold connection for more than 2-5 minutes now

      Tried changing microfilters, ethernet cables, adsl cables, tried upnp off and on, even deleted my port settings, also reset the router to factory settings, I am guessing theres an issue with the line or the router itself even though the router is brand new

      Having said that connection seems fine on PC but as soon as connecting to xbox live I have real issues

      Hi does it happen all day and night at weekends. Do you know about the traffic shaping and throttling there are lots of threads about trying to play on line games and being unable to play.
