      The wires may be located under the flooring which I've had problems accessing unless you're talking about the NTE5 which you're probably not.

      Until you find out where your extensions are being fed from, there is not much we can say. What you could do is have a look inside your extensions and see if one of them is actually the master. It is easily identified as it will have a capacitor inside, a small cylinder about the size of a triple A battery. It is possible what you think is the master is actually an extension.
