Re: Playstation and net in general

As you are not on SVBN you should be able to get Plusnet without moving your phone rental and calls. Likewise if you want to move there should be no charge, provided you move within the cooling off period.

Sky should be able to generate the MAC immediately when you are on a BT line, it is a bit different with the SVBN. Make sure you get your MAC before cancelling and don't even mention cancelling and MAC in the same call. If you do, the cancel button will be pressed and from there on you have no chance of getting a MAC. You will be in limbo until the Sky tag is removed from your line, which can take 10-14 days.

You should be, but going back to BT will probably mean accepting a 12 or18 month contract. Give BT a ring and they will tell you what you can get, how much and what you have to do.

Yeah, sky should be able to give you your mac code immediately, just tell them your looking into getting another broadband provider. (make sure they don't cancel your service)

Yeah talktalk also give me my mac code immediately.

ring them back up and ask for it again, just say your looking into getting another Internet provider, if they try to make you do the troubleshooting and crap just tell them your not interested and just want the mac code. (but like i said, don't cancel sky yet or even mention canceling them)

I tried that but the guy kept blabbling on i just said ok fair enough i gota go but i still want my mac code, i could of gone on for hours but i needed the loo.

He said there is no one up higher than him.

But if they cancel if when i ask for mac code, there not allowed to do that according to offcom and some web sites ive visited
