Cannot connect to games (PC) Left for dead2

Im having serious problems and getting very annoyed with my connection.

I play Left 4 Dead 2 on PC (online) , however the game loads and finds online games but when try to connect it just cycles through trying to connect and then decides it cant connect to any. A week ago when my broadband went live i could connect even though my ping was poor but now all of a sudden i cant connect at all. Anyone got any ideads?

Ive tried opening relevant ports and have even tried turning off windows firewall and telling my router to accept all ports inbound and outbound. Im at a total loss with this.

Hi I hate to say this but online gaming is useless with the connect package as there is not enough Bandwidth. The connect package is over subscribed. You do know about the Traffic Management 5pm till Midnight and weekends there are numerous threads about the connect package. one below and also this link Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down? They are both worth a look through the last page of are you being slowed down has some interesting information.

Thanks for this. Ive looked at the threads, your right the possible extra bandwith by end of summer would be nice!

Ive also used the exchange checker and it seems there is sky LLU in my exchange, i think im going to ring them at weekend and see if i can be moved over to that without charge.

Hi when you ring Sky tell about not being told of the connect package issues. Also why were you not put on or offered a Sky`s LLU package Especially when Sky / Easynet: Enabled as of 16/11/2006 You will not have anything extra to pay by moving to Sky LLU. What you have to say is why was I not offered or put on a Sky LLU package. Remember you were put on Sky connect a Bt re-badged product that is Traffic Managed (Shaped) (Throttled) 4pm till Midnight All weekend, School Holidays, Public Holidays, I hope that helps if I can think of anything else I will post. There is a few threads about going from Sky Connect to Sky LLU.

It could be sky's LLU is full on the exchange but I must confess it's strange that you would still be on connect when LLU is enabled. Have you had connect from before LLU was enabled on the exchange?

Re: Cannot connect to games (PC) Left for dead2

I only joined about a month ago, it was a long story but the lady said she would run order for new phone line and bband at same time (i moved from talktalk) which she said they dont usually do, but due to another problem id had she would do. i think this may be why im on connect because at the time they wouldnt have been able to test the line, i got 6 months free so didnt question it.
Will be ringing them after work today i think.

I suppose it's possible they hooked you up to the wrong exchange, did you use the samknows checker on your postcode or phone number?
