You will find that around 5 pm, the speed will drop dramatically, you will be lucky to get one tenth of that.

Get yourself along to O2, you will get a download speed of about 20 Mb with no throttling. Apart from that, if you are paying the full rate for Connect, it will be cheaper.

Though as you have now confirmed that you are on connect the priority as others have said is to get off it.
I'm with O2 and with an attenuation of 22 I get 18 meg.
It would still be worthwhile checking stats from the test socket, the reason being that if your internal wiring is the cause of the high noise margin you currently have then you will also have the problem with the new isp.

      At 6:15:
*Download speedachieved during the test was - 962 Kbps
*For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 600-7150 Kbps.
      *Additional Information:
      *Your DSL Connection Rate :6528 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
*IP Profile for your line is - 5500 Kbps

I'll have a go at the test socket tommorow.
