    Ping

This is a discussion on Ping within the Gaming on Sky forums, part of the Sky Broadband help category; I was just wondering is it possible to have a lower ping?...

      Re: Ping

call sky and ask and explain you want to reduce your pings, they just need to change the max delay dropdown to 8ms.. 2 second job

      Re: Ping

Sometimes having the Delay reduced will require the sync speed to be reduced to maintain stability, but this is usually by just a few Ks and it would be on your connection only, certainly not in your area. Call again and with a bit of luck you will get someone who can do what you want.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry at what you were told.

Ring up and just ask your max_delays to be set to 8ms downstream and 8ms upstream. Your downstream rate may have to be reduced by a few hundred kbps for stability, but if you're only worried about pings, then that's what's needed.

Edit: Has anyone confirmed whether the OP's on connect? The speed test upload sniffs of connect. Add1613, paste your stats from the router:
