If you use your connection for gaming on XBL I would wait a while before switching to Sky.

Ive heard that from a few people. Its a real shame because I was really up for skybb, but xbox live is probably the main use... Think I will see how things develop in the coming weeks, very tempted to risk it though, hoping Im one of the lucky ones!

Would be interested to hear anybody's experience with gaming who's connected to the Derby exchange who is on a sky llu product.

I play online most nights and my advice is this.......If you are playing online now to an acceptable level, do NOT even entertain the idea of switching.

I wish I didn't. To give you an example of my feelings towards this, if I could go back to the way it was pre-miration and Sky said I had to pay 1 years subs in full to leave, I would pay, happily.

Sorry if that upsets anyone but that is the way I feel, no bull.

Xbox Live works just fine via the ethernet connection. Sometimes i get slow download speeds but other times it zips along as normal.
I haven't noticed any lag in the games while playing online, but i'm going to give Xbox live a better work out with PGR3 quite soon.

@Just Cause - cheers for depressing me more than a call to Sky BB.

Advice anyone? i'm yet to be activated by Sky/BT (activation date 13th Sept) and to be honest these reported problems connecting to live are seriously making me consider cutting my losses and cancelling now in the hope Zen will welcome me back with open arms.

I fully understand the delays with my internet connection and would have been happy to wait even longer than i already have as it's sure to happen sooner or later but like smokingreen said xbox live takes up probably 80% of my total internet usage and i'm not prepared to be without it (as sad as that sounds)

What does anyone think? Cut my losses, cancel and hope to get a new connection, compatiable with live soon or sit it out like i've been doing for over 3 weeks and keep my fingers crossed that NewsreadeR is correct and they will find a fix soon?

Btw: connecting via ethernet is not an option, got sick of trailing wire and invested in 360 wireless network adapter so i want to make use of it.

      any advice greatly appreciated.

It is just my honest opinion. If you want me to tell you it is great when it is not I will, if that will make you feel better Mushroom.

your opinion is very much appreciated, if a fellow live user thinks the service sucks since moving to Sky then that's the kind of thing i will base my decision on. I'm not after a sugar coated answer as after a three week wait (and counting) to be activated i'm under no illusions that Sky BB will be anything but problematic. Cheers for your input JustCause, i'll add a smiley to indicate any sarcasm next time.
      Best wishes
