      PSP and the sagem router

      Hi,
I recently joined sky and recieved the sagem router and it is working fine, the only problem is that when i try to connect my psp I just get connection error. I know the wireless works on the sagem as there are two pc's that connect to it and my PSP worked fine with my old bt homehub(black 2.0 version).
All of the settings are typed in correctly aswell, can anyone help me please?

Switch the security off in the router and try to connect. If you can, that points directly at the security setup on the PSP.

the psp uses wireless b (11mbps) try setting the router to wireless b, see if it connects, might be because u need to set it to wireless b only ?

Re: PSP and the sagem router

I am pretty sure the latest firmware for the PSP supports Wireless G and probably WPA. It does not matter really as all Sky routers support both b and g.
Setting the router to b only, which may not be possible, would cripple anything else using it.

my psp is wireless b only (PSP 1000)
      PSP-1000 Specs - Overview of PSP-1000 Specifications

also the sagem has an option wireless b only, so i thought it may be because performance 54g or auto 54g doesnt work with wireless b

im gonna try and connect my psp now

So what speed are you connecting, 11 or 54mbps? What security are you using?

Re: PSP and the sagem router

Thanks for the replies, it was on 54g performance so i tried it on auto and iget a repeating cycle of
      connecting to access point and
      exchanging key information
until it times out, same with the 54g LRS and b only is not really an option as the other pcs use g.
im using the wpa-psk but i still can not connect with the security turned off.

Re: PSP and the sagem router

The only thing I can think of is that it is still looking for the BT Hub. Check the IP settings and ensure it is set to automatic or manually configure it to connect to the Sky router. IP address 192.168.0.100, subnet 255.255.255.0. Gateway 192.168.0.1.
