      Angry Doing my head in.....

Well I have a PS3 and a 360 and I have sky base and am connected wirelessly. At times the connection is flawless, actually at all times the connection is flawless and both are open NAT types, however at times my 360/PS3 cannot simply detect the wireless connection and to solve this I usually have to switch the router off from the back, switch it on and then all the light come on (Even the Ethernet ports one even though only one ethernet port is connected) with a red light next to the wireless pic and have to wait 15 minutes before I switch it off again and put it back on and then it works. Can anyone help me please? Thanks.

Looks like a faulty router/wireless adapter phone Sky and tell them your wireless is not working. They will send you a replacement.

Well I dunno know why but when I changed my wifi channel to 11 it now works seaminglessly. However if the problem insists I'll phone up sky and tell them.

Do yourself a favour and ditch the wireless, buy a couple of homeplugs and enjoy better gaming.

I agree with Smithy, for gaming, a wireless connection is not much good. You will get much better results with Homeplugs or even a long ethernet cable.

Hmmm... I'll looks into homeplugs, but in regards to ethernet cable my router and consoles are just too far apart for a long ethernet wires. However its been perfect ever since I've changed the channel to 11.

      Re: Doing my head in.....

The problem is that so many are now getting wireless broadband that it just takes another neighbour to start using it and it can go again. Wireless is OK for general surfing, not much good for gaming or streaming video.
