      Can anyone help?

      Right here we go:

Mostly my xbox live connection is fine however on most week nights i'll generally get some quite bad lag and disconnects from games (not from live itself)

Sky tell me my pings are 8ms (set for gaming) and during the time I have lag I haven't experienced any issues on my other pc's only the live service.

I have this issue with the DG834Gt router and the Sagem. I have tried increasing my SNR to something like 16 - doesn't help the issue.

UPNP - disabled \ enabled doesnt help

      Here are my stats

Port Status TxPkts RxPkts Collisions Tx B/s Rx B/s Up Time
      WAN PPPoA 2312 3097 0 640 3798 00:11:39
      LAN 10M/100M 12523 11320 0 809 661 00:28:26
      WLAN 11M/54M/108M 7916 4735 0 2142 478 00:28:19

      DSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 4736 kbps 768 kbps
Line Attenuation 34.0 db 23.0 db
Noise Margin 16.5 db 13.0 db

The only thing I can think of is that my line is dodgy somehow - I should only be able to get 5Meg but if i dont tweak the noise it synchs and nearly 8meg. I wonder if i should get sky to cap it at 5?

      Re: Can anyone help?

You could try Dr TCP to see if that helps, see the link below for details and to download the application.
Your line should easily support 8Mb.

      Re: Can anyone help?

Ok I downloaded it, do i just click optimal settings and click ok or should i doing more tinkering?

And just to clear the line thingy: Sky told me first off that I could only get %mb this is confimed by BT according to the length of my line.

When I had a previous call logged with sky they knocked the line down to 5 mb and everything seemed to work ok, but them after a while they "cleared" the line and everything was ok then for a little while too
