10gb usage means that is the total amount of data you are allowed to download each month.
To put this into perspective you say you use utube and iplayer a lot, if you were to watch topgear, for example, every week this would use @ 2.8 gig per month which is over a quarter of the allowance just to watch 4 hours tv, obviously if you watch more then you will use more but not all streams are as high a quality as iplayers. From just that one example you can see it wont take much to eat up that 10 gb.
Playing games on ps3 etc in itself wont use a huge amount but chuck in a demo download or two at a gb each and again it starts mounting up.
Its not a stupid question at all, its quite understandable, you will have to assess your usage and then decide wether to leave things as they are, upgrade or move to another isp if that option is available to you.

You cant get rid of the tv and keep the bb, not sure about keeping the phone without the tv. AFAIK the phone contract will be for 12 months.

The Connect one is also wrong and showing 10GB in the What does it cost? section yet 40GB in the paragraph above. Actually I have just noticed the download speed is wrong as well. Max download speed Up to 448Kb also in the What does it cost? section.

Re: New Sky MId Does This Mean?

As for the iPlayer, it depends if you are watching it via a browser or actually downloading the programme via the iPlayer software. afaik The browser version uses less. (as in watching it through Internet Explorer or FireFox) I think Top Gear to download and then watch a show in the iPlayer software is about 684mb - depending on who you speak to, a GB is 1000mb or 1024mb

As for gaming, it doesn't usually use too much, and YouTube is similar usage to watching iPlayer through the browser. Your best bet would be to use our Bandwidth Meter and just see how much you actually use on the PC? To give you a rough idea of your actual usage via the PC / iPlayer etc (This would not work for the PS3)
